NEWS!
The year 2010 has been amazing so far! for one thing I got married! Yes, after a whirlwind romance of 14 years Kris and I eventually tied the knot on August 1st at Clifton Church.
As
you can see the band played! Kris demanded that elements did the
evening as she knew we'd just complain if we didn't! Thanks to the
lads (particualarly Al) for covering it! Unfortunately Carl, our
lead
guitarist, was away on holiday for the big day so Al had to step up
as it were. He did a great job and the band, as always, drew alot
of compliments! It was also great fun to have DF back on stage
with us. He and Phil swapped the bass duties through out the set.
DF is currently directing a mowtown show which we hope to be going to see shortly at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London. It's well worth checking out have a look at http://www.soundofmotorcity.com/ for details!
Right, the wedding aside what else has been going on? Well band wise, Elements are in the process of revamping their set ready for the winter bookings and Escher have been doing their best to deafen as many people as they can!
We had the opportunity to play at the world Superbikes, Silverstone but as the gig was the night before the wedding our agent refused to let me do it! I knew I shouldn't have introduced her to Kris!!!! We have rocked the 5 Bells Music fest and picked up a couple of new venues, which is always a winner. The only problem is that Luke Luton (our guitarist) has broken his wrist! He did it on holiday and played the 5 Bells gig thinking it was only badly sprained...... alas, judging by the size and varying colours (mainly black, purples and blues) it would appear to be somewhat more serious! So, we may have to drop a couple of gigs. We'll see!
Right that'll do fo now! I'll try and keep this more up to date in the future! Don't forget you can always catch up with me on facebook (just search for Jonathan Gaskell) and escher have a page there to.Speak to you all soon.
